Join us at our annual Fremantle Press Author Showcase for 2023

Gather your family and friends and join Fremantle Press on Sunday 26 November for a day of festivities and author readings. Our 2023 Author Showcase will feature at the Fremantle Arts Centre Open Day to celebrate fifty years of art. Grab a picnic rug and arrive early to claim a patch of grass under the shade.

Event proceedings begin at 10 am with our wonderful children’s authors hosting a series of interactive workshops for youngsters, featuring three of our crowd favourites: James Foley, Renae Hayward and Helen Milroy.

Grab a coffee and pastry from one of the many food vendors available and join us for the adult author readings from 11 am. With authors of literary fiction, poetry and creative non-fiction, the line-up includes Renée Pettitt-Schipp, Dawn Mauldon, Gillian O’Shaughnessy, David Whish-Wilson, Seth Malacari, Steve Hawke, Karen Herbert, Emma Young, Michael Thomas, Chemutai Glasheen and Molly Schmidt.

The Fremantle Press portion of the day concludes at noon, but plan to spend the rest of your day enjoying the interactive activities including arts and crafts, art exhibition tours and live music.
