Ngangk Waangening: Mothers’ Stories

Fremantle Press was commissioned to produce a book of Noongar and Yamatji Elders’ birthing stories on Noongar Boodjar. This collection of very personal stories describes these women’s own personal birthing experiences in sometimes very isolated and difficult situations. The book recognises the importance of the cultural and educational role of Aboriginal women in the birthing process throughout the Noongar Country of Western Australia and will be a valuable resource for health professionals.
