Cristy Burne School Workshop

Have award-winning author Cristy Burne visit your school in 2026!

With a background in science communication and creative learning, Cristy is the author of verse novel One Day Soon, creative LEGO collaboration A New World Rises, and four energetic junior fiction novels that celebrate friendship, problem-solving and wild spaces: To The Lighthouse, Off The Track, Beneath the Trees and Into The Blue.

Cristy’s books, shows, and workshops champion science, story, and strength, encouraging people of all ages to think and try and do.

Passionate about sparking curiosity and resilience, Cristy’s work explores how imagination and STEM collide to help shape a better tomorrow.

Cristy has kindly donated her time. You can also support Fremantle Press by booking Cristy directly through us. Your school will receive a tax-deductible receipt and be recognised on the Fremantle Press Honour Board – as well as enjoying a fabulous author’s visit while helping independent WA publishing purchase a permanent home.

This visit can be for a show or workshop of 60 minutes. Cristy will work with you to determine the aim and outcomes of the visit.

Please note, Cristy is unavailable for Book Week and Science Week. The purchaser of the workshop and Cristy will decide on a mutually agreed date in 2026. If your school is more than one hour from Perth, there will be additional travel costs.
