Trout in Western Australia

As an avid fisherman, client Glen Power was interested in creating a compendium regarding the history of trout fishing in WA. It explores the history of the state’s freshwater fishery over the past 150 years. From forested rivers and streams to lakes and farm dams, this meticulously researched book covers every region of the south-west of WA. This book demonstrates the significant recreational and economic benefits of what has become an immensely popular fishery enjoyed annually by thousands of licensed anglers. Glen has reported to us that he’s had keen interest in the book, with a number of copies sold to individuals and local bookstores through hand selling, as well as healthy online (Amazon) sales, and may be looking to do a reprint in 2025 or 2026.

It was profoundly great to find the custom publishing service offered by Fremantle Press! My book manuscript, Trout in Western Australia, was welcomed enthusiastically by Alex, Kirsty and all the team. They were very supportive through all the stages of editing, design, and production and publication, respecting fully my own thoughts on what anglers might ultimately be keen to see on the shelf. I am indebted to Fremantle Press for their insights and professionalism and commend them in the strongest possible terms to any new author! — Glen Power, Trout in Western Australia
