May O’Brien portrait unveiled

The Indigenous Support Unit at Central TAFE was donated a beautiful portrait of author May O’Brien, which was painted by Geraldine Carrington in a workshop organised by Goldie Cannon a few years ago.
As a way of honouring May for her lifetime contribution to Aboriginal education, the portrait was unveiled by Sally Morgan at a ceremony on 1 June 2016.
May O’Brien is a much-admired author who is cherished by Fremantle Press. Her books are Bawoo Stories and Badudu Stories.
