Fremantle Press marketing team says goodbye to Jen and hello to Chloe, the new Marketing and Communications Coordinator

Today, the Fremantle Press marketing department welcomes new team member Chloe Walton to the role of Marketing and Communications Coordinator. Chloe has a degree in marketing and public relations from Curtin University and has worked as a marketer and social media coordinator in the retail sector for over four years.

Though Chloe only started this week, she’s already spent the past fortnight reading manuscripts to prepare for the gig. Chloe said, ‘I am a keen reader, with it being one of my main passions. The chance of working for a company that helps share the voices of WA authors is one that I find exhilarating.’

Fremantle Press Marketing and Communications Manager Claire Miller said Chloe was chosen from a competitive field that included highly experienced journalists, marketers and communications specialists. ‘CEO Jane Fraser and I liked Chloe’s enthusiasm for reading and her focus on data-driven marketing. We felt she would bring plenty of new skills to the team and that, in turn, we would be able to teach Chloe the skills she still wants to learn as an up-and-coming marketing and communications professional.’

Claire said the Marketing and Communications Coordinator played a central role at Fremantle Press. ‘For the past two years, I’ve had the pleasure of working with Jen Bowden, who has really made the position her own. Jen has done an outstanding job of being the person who connects authors and their books to our sales team, event managers and, ultimately, readers. We wish her well as she returns to freelance journalism and her own writing projects.’

Jen said, ‘I’ve loved being at Fremantle Press for the past two years, and working with the amazing authors here has been a dream come true. But I’m really excited to see what this next chapter (see what I did there?) holds for me.’
