Join us for a celebration at the State Library of Western Australia as we launch Right Way Down, a collection of children’s poetry from 38 brilliant WA writers.

Teachers and parents will delight in how this poetry book can make reading fun and collaborative at home and in the classroom.

The book will be launched on Saturday 16 March by the Minister for Culture and the Arts Hon. David Templeman, followed by live readings from the stellar lineup of WA writers who have contributed to this anthology.

Stick around to meet the incredible editors Rebecca M. Newman of Alphabet Soup Books and Sally Murphy, as well as illustrator Briony Stewart. Grab a signature from one of the many contributors and enjoy light refreshments, browse the artwork of Briony Stewart and peruse the surroundings of the State Library of WA.

This event will be a collaboration between Alphabet Soup Books and Fremantle Press. The book is sponsored by the Department of Local Government, Sport and Cultural Industries.

Tickets to this event are free, but spaces are limited. Head to the link in the description to book your spot today.
