Great Big Book Club launch: Fremantle Press presents two new novels, Last Best Chance and The Players

Join two brave new names in fiction, Brooke Dunnell and Deborah Pike, for an evening in conversation as they discuss their tantalising new novels Last Best Chance and The Players.

The Players by Deborah Pike is about how the lives of aspiring actress Veronika and six fellow thespians collide one summer and are forever intertwined after performing The Marriage of Figaro.

Last Best Chance by Brooke Dunnell is a timely exploration of what makes a family and how far we should go to bring a child into an already crowded world.

Brooke and Deborah will immerse themselves in conversation with Fremantle Press CEO Alex Allan on the multiplicity of being a novelist, the lengths of research and travel each embarked on to write their novel, and how each author found her voice to write compelling fiction.

This evening will be hosted at Manning Library in South Perth. Light refreshments will be provided, and book sales and signings will be presented by Millpoint Caffe Bookshop.
