Bring your book club to The Lane Bookshop and join Deborah Pike for an in-conversation event

Deborah Pike will be discussing her latest novel The Players in conversation with local author Susan Midalia.

The Players begins in an orchard in the Perth Hills where a group of young students are rehearsing The Marriage of Figaro. Deborah’s debut novel is a multifaceted, coming-of-age story that takes readers into the lives of a group of university students over one intense summer. Their relationships will be tested across decades and continents as the six unforgettable characters navigate the highs and lows of love, friendship and ambition.

Deborah and Susan will discuss the themes of rivalry, human connection, vocational passion and the power of one’s past found in The Players.

This event is hosted by The Lane Bookshop. Doors open at 6.00 pm and the in-conversation event kicks off at 6:30 pm. Wine and nibbles will be provided upon arrival.
