Fremantle Press is proud to support emerging author Dakota Feirer, whose debut poetry collection Arsenic Flower is launching at Better Read Than Dead in Newtown, NSW on Friday 3 October at 6.30 pm. Dakota, a Bundjalung and Gumbaynggirr man, is also a contributing poet in Rivers Flow: Reflections on the Songs of Archie Roach and Ruby Hunter.

Join Dakota in conversation with Coby Edgar as he shares his powerful new work, inspired by lo-fi hip-hop rhythms and marked by vivid imagery that confronts the ongoing impacts of colonialism and explores the complexities of blak masculinity.

Dakota’s poem, ‘Star-filled Lakes’, features in Rivers Flow, which will be available for purchase at the event.

We invite you to join us in celebrating Dakota’s launch and to explore both Arsenic Flower and Rivers Flow at this special event.
