We’re thrilled to announce that Strange Editions Book Club is back for another two sessions this month and next – and they’re bringing some of Western Australia’s finest literary talent to Strange Company in Fremantle for a pair of intimate and bookish evenings.

Get down to Strange Company on Tuesday 30 September, where things kick off with The Ghost Walk, the chilling new medical thriller from Karen Herbert. Karen will be in conversation with local author Emily Paull, diving into the writing of literary thrillers and the things that haunt us. It’s a gripping read that’s already turning heads across the country.

The following session takes place on Tuesday 28 October, with David Whish-Wilson launching his latest Fremantle-set crime novel, O’Keefe – a gritty, atmospheric tale that takes place in the port of Fremantle during the ‘cocaine goldrush. He’ll be joined in conversation with author Jay Martin to discuss the book’s morally complex characters, the Fremantle underworld, and the blurred lines of justice in crime fiction.

Grab a cheeky wine (or something as equally delicious), enjoy a live reading, and listen to these authors in conversation. A Q&A with the audience will follow, along with book sales and signing.

The authors’ novels will be available at the event through New Edition and some copies will also be for sale over the bar in the lead-up to the session.

Tickets for the events are free, and available via the Strange Company Humanitix page: here.
