Gather round for A Tale of Two Publishing Houses in Claremont

Linda Martin, author of A Tale of Two Publishing Houses, will be hosting a talk at Bay View Community Centre in Claremont on the afternoon of Wednesday 20 May.
Linda is a writer, editor, publisher and co-founder of Night Parrot Press. She teaches publishing and editing at Edith Cowan University, where she completed her PhD. When she went digging for the story behind a beloved independent publisher, she didn’t just unearth a rich history – she reignited her own passion for books and set out to start a press herself.
From the daring spirit of two publishing trailblazers in the 1970s to the grit and heart it takes to launch a small press today, A Tale of Two Publishing Houses is a tale of vision, tenacity and the magic that happens when people believe in stories. Part history, part memoir and a love letter to the world of books, a celebration of the dreamers, risk-takers and communities that bring them to life.
This event is free to attend, and books will be available courtesy of Lane Bookshop. Book here: https://www.trybooking.com/events/landing/1568884
