A Shot in the Dark: watch Lisa Ellery be put through her paces with Fiona Stager

Lawyer and debut author, Lisa Ellery, was taken to the witness stand on Wednesday 18 August to be questioned about her crime novel, Private Prosecution, by Fiona Stager from Avid Reader bookshop in Brisbane in the second A Shot in the Dark event of the year.

Described by Craig Sisterson as a ‘superb debut written with personality and pace’, Private Prosecution follows Andrew Deacon, a young, fit, single junior prosecutor with a bright future and a sense of entitlement to match. When Lily Constantine, the attractive stranger he’s just slept with is found dead in her apartment, the clock starts ticking for Andrew as he tries to catch the killer before the killer takes him down instead.
