No animal too small for this activity

Pygmy Possum is so small! All the other animals think she’s too little to go out on her own in Katie Stewart’s new picture book, You’re Too Little. In this new activity, students will research the pygmy possum and other Australian animals, document their sizes, then colour them in.

Free teaching notes are also available and include discussion questions such as:

• Each animal lists their special features that would help them climb the tree. What special features or abilities do you have that help you when faced with a challenge?
• How does Pygmy Possum feel hearing that Numbat, Gecko and Weebill don’t believe she can reach the nectar?
• Brushtail Possum believes in Pygmy Possum. How does it help you achieve a goal or dream when someone supports you?
