Farewell Quarry Street: Garage Sale Saturday 21 March
As we move into our new permanent home on Parry Street, it is time to say farewell to our Quarry Street office the best way we know how: a gigantic bookish garage sale.
Join us on Saturday 21 March from 10.00 am–3.00 pm at 25 Quarry Street in Fremantle for a day of bargain hunting, baked treats and a chance to give some much-loved office furniture a new home.
What you will find (aka Quarry Street’s Greatest Hits)
We are clearing out the Quarry Street office and there will be plenty of practical pieces available, including:
Tables
A large wooden dining table is available that has been a part of the Fremantle Press story for 30 years. It’s hosted countless meetings, copy edits with pages spread end‑to‑end, and plenty of lunch breaks (often with a bit of laughter thrown in). Complete with cuts from making dummy copies, it’s filled with as many stories as have walked through the doors. A real piece of Fremantle Press history, ready for its next chapter in your home or office.
There is also a foldable table on wheels, so you can roll it where you need it and pack it away when you don’t. Ideal for meetings, craft nights, study sessions and last‑minute ‘we need more table space’ moments – the very job it’s done faithfully for Fremantle Press for years.
Storage
Of course we have bookshelves available! Various sizes are available to hold whatever your book collection may look like. We have white and neutral shelves that have survived deadlines, launches and many, many books. They’ll survive your lounge room. Trust us, they’re sturdy.
A long neutral cupboard that makes for excellent storage and will come in handy as an office stationery cupboard. It will even hold over tens of thousands of accidentally ordered bulldog clips. Don’t ask us how we know.

There’s also several office chairs, desks, white goods and more available.
Books
Books for sale! Buy a tote bag for $35 and you can fill it with as many books as you can carry. Otherwise, titles are going for $5 each or grab 3 for $10.

Entry is by gold coin donation, and we will have baked treats and soft drinks available to purchase to keep you fuelled while you browse.
