Maling receives OzCo grant
Caitlin Maling is one of sixteen Australian writers awarded grant money of up to $50,000 to undertake a new arts project.
Maling said the grant would allow her to travel to the Lizard Island Research Station for several months over 2017–2018 to write poems on the Great Barrier Reef for the development of her third collection, currently titled Fish-Work.
In total, the Australia Council awarded $5.8 million to 184 individual artists, groups and small-to-medium organisations, chosen from 1,373 applications.
Caitlin Maling’s new poetry collection, Border Crossing, is out on 1 February 2017.
