A proud Worimi woman, Genevieve has more than twenty years experience creating dynamic content for film and television, exhibitions, online and multimedia. Her work has consistently won awards and recognition and she is regarded as a leading practitioner of community-engaged content development. She is a passionate advocate of these practices and teaches these skills in university, institutional and community spaces. Genevieve has a strong leadership role in the arts and cultural sector, contributing to the development of key organisations and also mentoring many emerging First Peoples creatives. Selected projects include: Lani’s Story (2009), one hour documentary – SBS Television; Barangaroo Ngangamay (2016), a film series that celebrates the living cultures of Sydney Aboriginal women; and, the internationally celebrated permanent exhibition, First Peoples Melbourne Museum (2013), of which she was the Lead Curator.
