Monty Edwards is a retired pastor and educator who lives in Rockingham, WA. He is married with three children and five grandchildren. While working as a primary school teacher and subsequently a pastor, he began writing poems for special family events and explored Christian themes in Poems on the Way.
From 2016, Monty was a regular contributor to australianchildrenspoetry.com.au and has been published in The School Magazine on several occasions. For his grandchildren and other primary-schoolers he gathered forty-five of his poems into The Mystery Box: Playful poems for young readers, published in 2017.
Monty’s leisure interests include tennis, piano, chess and cryptic crosswords.
