Wayne Ashton was born to British and Pakistani parents in Karachi, leaving there at five, and then was brought up in many corners of the world: Chittagong, Paris, Kuala Lumpur, Ipoh, Lagos, London, Perth and Sydney. His work spans painting, ink drawings and fiction. His fiction includes the highly acclaimed novel Under a Tin-Grey Sari, 12 solo exhibitions, many group shows and three radio dramas.
