Fremantle Press books first on the Quality Time app

A new iPad application featuring picture books from Fremantle Press has been launched by local company Sumo. The Quality Time app will connect families whose parents are working away from home by allowing them to download picture books and read them together in real time.

Fremantle Press were the first to provide materials for this exciting project that is aimed at Western Australia’s fly-in fly-out families.

‘Quality Time creators came to us mid last year with this amazing idea for an app and the desire to launch it with uniquely Western Australian content,’ said Fremantle Press CEO Jane Fraser.

‘We’ve provided over a dozen picture books, including much-loved favourites Cat Balloon, A Sausage Went for a Walk and All Monkeys Love Bananas. We’re proud to be a part of something that helps bring families together through the joy of reading,’ said Fraser.

Subscribers to the app will get a free copy of My Superhero by Chris Owen if they subscribe during the first month of release.

Through the use of screen sharing and audio communications, the Quality Time app allows parent and child to interact when apart while also developing reading and literacy skills.

The Quality Time iPad application is available to download from iTunes. For more information follow the link below.
