Fremantle Press heads to Bologna

Three Fremantle Press books and two creators have been chosen to represent Australia at the 2015 Hello! From Australia exhibition at the Bologna Children’s Book Fair in Italy.

Artwork from On a Small Island by Kyle Hughes-Odgers will be featured alongside Harold and Grace by Sean E. Avery and The Last Viking Returns by Norman Jorgensen and James Foley.

The Australian Publishers Association reports that there will be a record number of some 16 Australian authors and illustrators attending the fair – not the least of which is Australian Children’s Laureate and Senior Australian of the Year, Jackie French. Elaine Forrestal and James Foley will be two Fremantle Press authors at the Creators’ Table where they will chat to exhibition visitors and undertake live demonstrations each day.

The Bologna Children’s Book Fair is the largest and most prestigious international book fair for children’s literature. It takes pace from 28 March to 2 April 2015.

The 2015 Hello! From Australia exhibition is an initiative of the Australian Publishers Association and Books Illustrated and is supported by the Copyright Agency Cultural Fund. The Australian stand and exhibition is in Hall 25 Stand B112. To view the online catalogue go to: http://issuu.com/booksillustrated/docs/hello__from_australia_bologna_exhib/1
