Film option for Liz Byrski book and Lena Gaunt heads to the UK

We are thrilled that Paisiello Pictures in California have optioned the film rights to Liz Byrski’s In Love and War.

Byrski’s book is a narrative on the severely burnt Battle of Britain airmen – known as the Guinea Pig Club – and the nurses who played a vital yet unorthodox role in their treatment. In more news, the New Zealand Listener has named In Love and War one of the top 100 books of 2015. Congratulations, Liz!

Take a look at this photo showing the UK and Australian editions of The Life and Loves of Lena Gaunt by Tracy Farr. We were so excited to see the advance copies of the UK edition from Aardvark Bureau, whose cover is completely different – but just as gorgeous. The Life and Loves of Lena Gaunt will be released in the US and UK early next year.
