CEO Jane Fraser commends ALP policy on Parallel Importation

We are delighted to hear today that the Leader of the Opposition, Bill Shorten has announced Labor’s policy not to support any attempt by the Government to repeal parallel importation rules (PIRs). Labor recognises the contribution that the book industry makes to Australia and that territorial copyright makes that possible. We commend Bill Shorten, the Shadow Minister for the Arts, Tony Burke and the Shadow Attorney General, Mark Dreyfus and thank them on behalf of all Western Australian readers and writers for their support. To keep up with the latest information on PIRs go to Books Create Australia.
