Fremantle Press proud to support the Leanne Coole Young Writers Award at Spearwood Alternative School

Fremantle Press publisher Georgia Richter and editor Armelle Davies paid a visit to Spearwood Alternative School on August 1 to present certificates and book vouchers to the winners of the Leanne Coole Young Writers Award.

The award, which began in 2014 in memory of teacher Leanne Coole, is awarded annually within the school with Fremantle Press judging the entries.

‘Among the 37 entries this year were many brave, bold, beautiful and brilliant stories. We were very impressed by the fresh writing, good understanding of story structure, and distinctive ideas and imagery shown by the winners,’ said Georgia and Armelle.
