Fremantle Press’s free online series A Shot in the Dark is back for a second season of thrilling new crime reads presented by the people who wrote them

Round up your book clubs, switch off Netflix and get set to tune in to the 2021 A Shot in the Dark series. Fremantle Press has a smorgasbord of new and established crime writers to stream live into the comfort of your living room.

This year you can sink your teeth into some cosy crime with Fromage by Sally Scott, or dip your toes into rural noir with The River Mouth by Karen Herbert. Don your joggers for the pacy, suspenseful page-turner Private Prosecution by Lisa Ellery, and get set to jet with the police procedural / spy thriller that is Crocodile Tears by Alan Carter. The series will start with Zoe Deleuil, who will join us live from Berlin to discuss her critically acclaimed psychological thriller, The Night Village. Once again, this year we’ve teamed up with a brilliant bunch of book lovers to host our sessions, including Dani Vee, the host of Words and Nerds podcast in Sydney, Fiona Stager from Avid Reader bookshop in Brisbane, Craig Kirchner from Abbey’s Bookshop in Sydney, Fiona Hardy of Readings Books in Melbourne and Jane Seaton from Beaufort Street Books in Perth.

Tickets to the Q&As are free. Secure your spot through the Facebook event page.
