Fremantle Press announces new staff as part of Sales and Marketing Restructure

Two new employees have joined the Fremantle Press team. Siana Liffers has been appointed Office and Customer Service Coordinator and Lisa Fehnle is the new Sales and Marketing Assistant.

CEO Alex Allan said the move was precipitated by the retirement of long-standing, and much valued, Office Manager Cathy Szabo who will step down from her role in mid-March. She said both Lisa and Siana would be crucial to Fremantle Press’s success providing continuity and administration support for the entire team – particularly in the areas of sales, marketing, publicity, development and customer service.

Siana Liffers graduated from Curtin University in 2018 with an Arts/Commerce double degree in Marketing and Creative Writing. She spent two years working in Fast-Moving Consumer Goods (FMCG) before leaving to pursue further studies in information management. Siana said, ‘I am excited to be working for a company that is passionate about bringing local stories out into the world.’

Lisa Fehnle said having loved reading and writing since early childhood, she pursued a double major in Professional Writing and Publishing and Literature and Cultural studies at Curtin University. She said, ‘In the final year of my degree, I undertook an internship with West Australian Ballet which led to full-time work as a Junior Copywriter and then as the Development Coordinator. After working with Western Australia’s flagship ballet company for almost two years, I was elated to commence my dream career in the book publishing industry with Fremantle Press.’

Last month Alex announced that Fremantle Press had promoted Claire Miller to the role of Head of Sales and Marketing and Chloe Walton to Sales and Marketing Lead as part of a restructure of the promotions team. She said the new roles would help support the restructure after Cathy Szabo handed over her expert sales management and customer service portfolio to the Sales and Marketing team.
