Eastern States to host tour of legendary crime author Dave Warner for an exclusive look at his latest novel When It Rains
Award-winning author, musician, and screenwriter Dave Warner is taking his latest novel, When It Rains, on tour around the East Coast this autumn.
The newest instalment in his acclaimed Dan Clement series, When It Rains begins with a hand tied to a post in the crocodile-infested waters of Broome, Western Australia. Dave Warner shared, ‘With my crime novels, a brief but almost fully formed snapshot of an idea might sustain a whole book – like looking down at an island through a bank of clouds and getting a clear picture for a second or two.’ This gripping crime thriller follows Detective Dan Clement as he investigates a series of violent crimes, racing against time to solve a high-stakes mystery.
Warner is also well-known for his gold album Mug’s Game and his iconic band Dave Warner’s from the Suburbs. His impressive career has earned him numerous accolades, including being named a Western Australian State Living Treasure and an induction into the WAMi Rock ‘n’ Roll of Renown.
This tour will feature live music by guitarist Tony Durant, whose performance is inspired by Warner’s writing. The collaboration of literature and live music promises to create a unique experience for attendees—a night not to be missed!
