Sterling James Minniecon

Sterling James Minniecon (1918–2006) was from the Kabi Kabi Nation of South-East Queensland and a descendant of the South Sea Islander people of Ambrym Island, Vanuatu. SJ Minniecon was the first Aboriginal pastor to be appointed under the Assemblies of God. He taught himself to read and write, and was the author of poetry and speculative fiction.
