Hello and welcome to a must-listen episode of the Fremantle Press Podcast for all authors, whether just starting out, emerging or established.

Recorded live at the Business of Being a Writer event at Perth Festival Writers Week, Fremantle Press publisher Georgia Richter gets insider tips on applying for grants, funding residencies and on entering awards from a panel of experts. Her guests are award-winning authors Gail Jones and Alice Nelson, and Australia Council Director of Literature Wenona Byrne. We hope you enjoy the podcast but remember, if you ever have any questions, Wenona Byrne mentioned the Australia Council’s grant officers were more than happy to take calls from writers to guide them through the application process.

This podcast is a part of the Four Centres Emerging Writers Program, supported by the the State Government through the Department of Local Government, Sport and Cultural Industries.
