2022 City of Fremantle Hungerford Award Ceremony and Great Big Book Launch
Join us as we announce the 2022 City of Fremantle Hungerford Award winner and celebrate new releases at the Great Big Book Launch.
Readers of Western Australia – this is your night! This is your official invitation to help hosts Holden Sheppard and Helen Milroy launch seventeen new books and the careers of four new writers.
We’ll start the night with performances by talented local authors and artists Brett Adams, Bron Bateman, Sharron Booth, Jayden Boundry, Brooke Dunnell, Karen Herbert, Portland Jones, Julia Lawrinson, Kathryn Lefroy, Patrick Marlborough, Jo Morrison, Nadia Rhook, Sienna Rose Scully, Katie Stewart, Leigh Straw, Andrew Sutherland, Tyrown Waigana and David Whish-Wilson.
Then Joy Kilian-Essert, Gerard McCann, Marie O’Rouke and Molly Schmidt will take to the stage with Mayor Hannah Fitzhardinge to find out who has won the 2022 City of Fremantle Hungerford Award.
Tickets are free but places are limited. Books, wood-fired pizza and refreshments will be available to purchase on the night.
