We’re excited to announce that Fremantle Press authors Renae Hayward, Katie Stewart, Jayden Boundry, James Foley and Deb Fitzpatrick will be taking part in sessions at the upcoming AWESOME Festival – a festival dedicated to WA children becoming actively engaged with the arts – taking place at the State Library of WA from Tuesday 30 September through Saturday 4 October.

Renae Hayward, known for charming board books like Say Hooray and Say Goodnight, will bring her cheerful stories to young readers and their grown‑ups.

Katie Stewart, celebrated author–illustrator, will share her love of nature, animals and the sky in sessions that delight both art lovers and early readers.

Jayden Boundry will bring Noongar language, storytelling and culture alive, connecting audiences with language, dance and stories from Country.

James Foley will lead workshops and story‑making events that spark creativity and imagination for kids who love to draw, write or both.

Deb Fitzpatrick will share her vivid stories rooted in real life – perfect for readers who like adventure, strong characters and heart.

Make sure to check the Festival program for session times and booking info so you don’t miss these inspiring author sessions!
