The Festival of Fiction is back – bigger and better

After an immediate sell-out success last year, the Festival of Fiction is back with an even bigger program: two enormous days, two theatres and 70 authors.
We’re excited that Fremantle Press authors Alan Carter, Karen Herbert, Emily Paull, Chemutai Glasheen, Brooke Dunnell, Henry Farnan, Jo Taylor, David Allan-Petale, Dave Warner, Chenée Marrapodi, Holden Sheppard, Deb Fitzpatrick, Jackson Harvey, Andrea Thompson, Lisa Ellery, Carrie Cox, Donna Mazza and Tim Winton are part of the line-up.
The Readers’ Theatre will be purely for readers’ entertainment, featuring bestselling authors discussing a range of fun and insightful topics.
Are you also a writer? Running at the same time is the Writers’ Theatre, featuring presentations and mini-masterclasses by some of Australia’s best authors, publishers and literary agents – including Fremantle Press editor Kirsty Horton! And if you have a completed manuscript, now’s your chance to pitch directly to publishers and agents.
The festival takes place on the weekend of 18 and 19 October 2025. View the program and grab your tickets from the Festival of Fiction website.
